In line with the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy outlined in the 19th Party Congress, and to explore the development path of “rural tourism driving rural revitalization,” Wuyuan Huangling, as the Chairman of the Middle Landscape Association’s Tourism Village and Town Branch, is recruiting rotating “Village Chiefs” from around the world.

Wuyuan is renowned as the most beautiful village in China, and Huangling is the most picturesque spot in Wuyuan. Huangling Ancient Village has invested 600 million RMB to create a one-of-a-kind “Shaiqiu” folk landscape village. Over the years, Huangling has been actively exploring and contributing to the development of rural tourism in China and the preservation of ancient villages.

With a history of over 580 years, Huangling Village once teetered on the brink of extinction as a semi-deserted village. Today, Huangling Village is thriving with various businesses, and the Village Chief needs to listen to public opinions and interact with business owners, community residents, tourists, and visitors.

Huangling relies on the “Shaiqiu” and “Rapeseed Flowers” as its brand foundation, and after a decade of development, Huangling needs more individuals to participate in rural tourism construction, engage in public welfare activities such as tourism poverty alleviation, and submit a feasible “policy agenda” to empower Huangling.

Write a Village Chief report, documenting your observations and insights during your term; utilize media platforms to share your experiences during your term with those who are interested in rural tourism development through live broadcasts, interviews, and other means.

From the Ming and Qing Dynasty ancient houses transformed into charming accommodations, to the countless unique Wuyuan folk customs such as weddings, Nuo dances, and sedan chair processions, and the irresistible Wuyuan snacks like “steamed rice cakes” and “Qingming rice cake”, you’ll experience the ubiquitous “Huizhou charm” and the most beautiful Chinese symbols “ Shaiqiu folk landscape”.

From a Huizhou ancient village hidden from the world, it has gloriously transformed into a leader in Chinese rural tourism. After 10 years of tourism development, how has Huangling innovated its tourism development model? Below the majestic Shier Mountain, this ordinary yet legendary village calls upon you to be its spokesperson, narrating the story of Huangling.

During your tenure, Huangling will invest all media resources to record and explore the stories within your term. Multiple platforms and formats, including the internet, television, and mobile apps, will be used to report and publicize the splendid journey of the “Rotating Village Chief.” After your tenure, the “Village Chief Wall” will record your achievements for posterity.
